A simple and effective bike rack system for station wagons, vans and compact cars was invented by the young team FITS sports equipment (our former corporate name). It's easy, you just have to come out: It consists of two telescopically aluminum square tubes sliding into each other, which can be fixed by means of an adjusting screw. Two plasic parts and fork mounts with quick releases added and you have a perfect interior bike rack. The whole thing is simply clamped transversely behind the front seats and the bikes fixed with the fork to the fork mounts. In this way, depending on vehicle size two or more bicycles can be transported safe and space saving. In addition, the bikes are safe from thieves and it saves fuel. BikeInside is modular system, i.e. existing fork mounts can be used.

Crossovers

The Bikeinside inside bike carrier is in principle suitable for crossover cars. It must merely be ensured that the bikes fit upright with extended front wheels in your crossover car. An assembbly in driving direction and possibly against driving direction is possible.

Try if your bike fits upright (remove front wheel, eventually saddle and travel down your suspension fork and remove rear wheel when needed) in your car. If this is possible you can use the Bikeinside bike rack for the interior of your crossover car.

Unfortunately we can not make a general statement for crossover cars, as to the combination of bicycle parts such as mounting handlebars, fenders, racks, etc. and the vehicle are too individual.

Does the carrier also fit bikes with disc brakes?

Yes, the fork mounts are compatible. They have a corresponding shaped body. For special installation situations, such as a much deeper-lying rear wheel it can be tight, then gives an extender more space.
